1. Information involved
- Information you provide. If you contact Setlena or request claim assistance, this can include your name, email address, mailing address, messages, authorizations, and information or supporting documents relevant to the claims you ask us to help with.
- Subscription information. PayPal processes payment details and may make information such as subscriber contact details, a subscription identifier, payment status, and transaction records available to Setlena.
- Technical and activity information. Website hosting and advertising services can receive your IP address, browser and device information, page address, referring page, cookie identifiers, and interactions such as viewing a section or starting checkout.
The landing page does not ask you to enter full payment-card details directly into a Setlena form. Please do not send passwords, complete payment-card numbers, or documents unrelated to your request.
2. How information is used
Information is used to operate the website, manage memberships and billing records, respond to requests, match and prepare potential claims, obtain necessary authorization, support permitted submissions, and communicate relevant updates. Technical information also helps measure advertising, diagnose problems, and protect the service against misuse.
Providing information to Setlena does not itself establish that you qualify for a settlement. Settlement administrators determine the requirements, approval, and payment of individual claims.
3. Cookies and Meta Pixel
The landing page uses Meta Pixel to measure visits and actions such as viewing content, clicking a membership link, starting checkout, and approving a subscription. This can involve cookies or similar identifiers and sharing website activity with Meta. Meta may associate this information with a Facebook or Instagram account and use it for advertising measurement and personalization.
The event code on this landing page does not include claim documents or the contents of private messages in its custom event parameters. Meta's own tools and settings govern the other information they collect.
You can manage cookies in your browser and review your advertising choices in your Meta account. Blocking cookies or scripts can affect some website functions. These settings apply to the browser or account where you make the change and may not remove information already processed.
Read Meta's Privacy Policy for details about Meta's processing and available controls.
4. Service providers and other recipients
Information may be processed by providers needed to operate the service, including website hosting, payment processing, communications, and advertising measurement. The website is hosted using Netlify, payments are processed using PayPal, and advertising measurement uses Meta Pixel.
When you authorize claim assistance and the settlement permits it, relevant claim information may be sent to the settlement administrator or its service providers. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law, in response to a valid legal request, or as necessary to address fraud, security issues, or legal claims.
5. PayPal and external websites
PayPal controls its payment and account interfaces. Its collection and use of information are described in the PayPal Privacy Statement. Settlement administrators and other external websites have their own privacy practices.
Canceling a PayPal subscription stops future recurring billing according to the subscription's terms. It does not automatically delete service records or information held by PayPal or a settlement administrator.
6. Retention and security
Information is retained for the purposes described in this notice, including providing requested services, maintaining necessary transaction records, addressing disputes, and meeting applicable obligations. The appropriate period depends on the type of information and the reason it is needed.
The live website uses HTTPS to protect the connection. No website, communication channel, or storage method can guarantee absolute security. Information processed by third-party services is also subject to their security and retention practices.
7. Your choices
You can choose what information to provide, manage browser cookies, review Meta's advertising controls, and manage your subscription in PayPal. Some requested services cannot be performed without the information or authorization they require.
Depending on your location and the laws that apply, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, or certain uses of personal information. Applicable exceptions may allow or require some records to be retained.
8. Changes to this notice
Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Please review the notice when you provide new information or use additional services.
